Safer Births Receives Ethical Clearance

 

The Safer Births study is a continuation of the “Towards MDG 4&5” research at Haydom Lutheran Hospital in Tanzania. The “Towards MDG 4&5” research includes implementation and evaluation of the “Helping Babies Breathe” and the “Helping Mothers Survive” training programs. .

 

The Safer Births study received ethical clearance from the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) in Tanzania on December 21st 2012, and from the Western Regional Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics in Norway (REK Vest) in March 2013.

 

The study is approved both in Tanzania and Norway and can proceed with the planned research activities.
